Our Tested and Proven Method for Successful Cayucos Surf Lessons
Your surf lesson at Cayucos Surf School will kick off on the sandy shores, where an experienced instructor will provide a comprehensive safety briefing. This includes an overview of current surf conditions and essential techniques for standing up on the board. Following this on-land introduction, you’ll dive straight into over an hour of exhilarating ocean time, guided closely by your instructor.
Surfing can be surprisingly tiring, which is why we’ve found that an hour in the water is just the right duration for most students to make significant progress. During your time in the waves, our instructors will be by your side, assisting you to the lineup, helping push you into waves, and coaching you on your techniques. The presence of our instructors is crucial—they’re not just there to teach you but also to ensure your safety throughout the lesson, offering the watchful eye of a seasoned ocean professional.

Cayucos surf lessons are offered year-round, and we provide thick, full wetsuits to keep you warm, even during the cooler winter months.
